Description
Applicants whose A2 Certificate of Competency (A2 CofC) is due to expire within six months may apply for renewal for a further five years, subject to meeting the renewal requirements.
To be eligible for renewal, all of the following criteria must be met:
- The existing A2 CofC must be valid (in date) at the time of application
- The applicant must successfully pass the current A2 CofC theory examination
- The applicant’s remote pilot logbook must evidence a minimum of 2 hours of flight time within the past 3 months

- £75 (including VAT)
Renewal format:
- Exam-only renewal
Failure to meet requirements:
Where an applicant does not meet the renewal eligibility criteria or does not successfully pass the theory examination, they will be required to complete the full A2 CofC course, which will be charged at the standard course fee of £99.
