Description
The Bug is compact, lightweight and visually discrete. With its unique size it’s ideal for rapid reconnaissance missions and close quarter scenarios, as featured in the 2022 British Army recruitment video. The Bug 4.1 can be deployed for non-stop flight missions of up to 25 minutes. Capable of reaching speeds of up to 80 kph (22m/s) and with a transmission distance of 3km+ (5.8Ghz).
The Bug 4.1 can be quickly launched from an operator’s hand, or moving vehicle and can provide visual surveillance and situational awareness during day or night using digital imagery and video. Footage can be broadcasted securely to multiple locations, allowing users to view the live feed from anywhere in the world.
With a very low visual and audible signature, the Bug can successfully complete covert surveillance or reconnaissance. It provides an excellent low risk profile and safety case compared to larger airframes.
Designed to operate in GNSS or denied environments. Featuring intelligent return to launch mode and offering autonomous mission capability or the option to fly manually.
A secure wireless link to provides protection in the field and can be quickly adapted to use the cellular network or MANET radio modules, which can be highly effective in urban environments or increasing range.
