Description
AVSS has recently introduced new parachutes for the DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise and the DJI Mavic 3 Thermal drones. With two variants: PRS-M3E and PRS-M3EX, this newly launched and redesigned line-up offers a lightweight, small form factor, and capable parachute recovery system.
The PRS-M3E variant comes with a simple plug-and-play design that leverages the DJI onboard PSDK. This initial launch includes a Parachute Recovery System (PRS), a Flight Termination System (FTS), an Automatic Triggering System (ATS), a Manual Triggering Device (MTD), EASA 2512, ASTM F3322-22 documentation, and adherence to the FAA’s Category 2 and Category 3 requirements.
Following the launch of the PRS-M3E, AVSS will introduce the PRS-M3EX, which complies with EASA MOC 2511 and features a segregated Flight Termination System (FTS). Unlike other EASA MOC 2511-compliant versions, the PRS-M3EX does not require extensive modifications to the drone's internal wiring, ESC, or motors, nor does it employ a mechanical flight termination system that physically jams the propellers to stop them from spinning. Instead, the PRS-M3EX is a straightforward FTS slide-in module.
