iRed: Proud Supporters of the Armed Forces Covenant and Striving for Silver Status

iRed, a leading provider of drone solutions, services and training, proudly affirms its commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant (AFC). We recognise the immense sacrifices made by those who serve, have served, and their families. We're currently working towards achieving the Silver Award in the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme as a testament to our dedication to supporting the armed forces community.

What is the Armed Forces Covenant?

The Armed Forces Covenant is a national pledge, a promise from the nation to ensure that those who serve or who have served in the armed forces, and their families, are treated fairly and with respect.  It aims to remove disadvantages faced by the armed forces community in accessing essential services and to recognise the unique value they bring to our country.

Why the Armed Forces Covenant Matters

The Armed Forces Covenant embodies a fundamental principle: those who put their lives on the line for our nation deserve our unwavering support in return. This support covers areas such as:

  • Healthcare: Ensuring timely access to both physical and mental healthcare tailored to the needs of service members, veterans, and their families.
  • Education: Helping the children of armed forces families adapt to frequent school changes and providing support for their unique educational needs.
  • Housing: Assisting service members and veterans in securing suitable housing options.
  • Employment: Recognising and valuing the transferable skills and experiences gained from military service.

iRed's Commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant

At iRed, we believe that our company is strengthened by the inclusion of individuals from the armed forces community. Their dedication, resilience, and leadership skills are invaluable assets. Here's how we're actively upholding our covenant pledge:

  • Recruitment: We actively recruit and welcome applications from veterans, reservists, and military spouses, recognising the exceptional talent pool that they represent.
  • Flexibility: We offer flexible working arrangements to support reservists and military spouses, factoring in potential deployments and family commitments.
  • Training and Development: We provide tailored training and mentorship programs to help veterans and service leavers smoothly transition and excel in civilian careers.
  • Mental Health Support: We understand the potential mental health challenges faced by armed forces personnel and their families. We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where mental health concerns are openly addressed and offer access to relevant support resources.
  • Community Engagement: We partner with organizations dedicated to supporting the armed forces community, offering our time, expertise, and resources.

Working Towards the Silver Award

Achieving the Silver Award in the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme is a significant milestone in our AFC journey. It demonstrates our proactive efforts to not only support the armed forces community within our company, but to also advocate for positive change more broadly.

We are continuously evaluating and improving our policies and practices, striving to create a truly inclusive and supportive workplace for service members, veterans, and their families.

Our Pledge

iRed is honoured to be part of the Armed Forces Covenant. We pledge to continue fulfilling our obligations to this exceptional community, recognising the sacrifices they have made for the freedoms and security we all enjoy.
